Clubs

At Coteford, we believe in the all round wellbeing and personal development of our children through participation in a range of extra-curricular activities. Members of staff and qualified coaches run our clubs during lunch breaks and before and after the school day.
Every child is encouraged to get involved in our clubs giving them the opportunity to develop new skills and interests; as a result they become confident, independent and motivated members of our school, in addition to this we have lots of fun!

Art Club
We love our art club; we use lots of different resources and materials when we work and we take home our creations to share with our families.
Arts and Crafts
Arts and craft club is for our Year 1 children.
Children work in a small group to explore various arts and crafts and create master pieces that they can be proud of.
Boogaloo Boogie
Our dance classes are provided by ‘Active Creative’ and we have been running our Boogaloo Boogie dance club since 2011, the activities include warm ups, fun and funky dances, creative movement, P.E and action activities. It is great fun and very energetic!
Choir
We have an amazing Choir at our school; we have performed at the summer fair, in assembly and even at the Eastcote walled gardens.
Children learn to sing lots of fantastic songs and how to use their voices so they sound lovely.
Cooking Club
At cooking club we make cakes, biscuits or bread. Each week 6 different children from year 2 get the chance to take part in the club, everybody in year 2 gets a turn and we take our cooking home to share with our families.
Drumming Club
At our African drumming club children are taught to play beats and rhythms on Djembe drums. Children performed at our Easter Bonnet parade where the crowd were amazed with the performance.
Football Club
We have a great Football Club; our coach is Mr Perrin a qualified coach from Ruislip Town FC. Mr Perrin has been training children at our school for over 5 years now.
Stitch a ted
Stitch a Ted is run by one of our teachers. She works with a small group of children to produce a teddy bear that they are able to take home once they have completed the club. The children are free to design and add personal touches to their teddies and often wow us with their creativity.
Tennis Club
This club is open to all year groups. Running two clubs a week means that one class can progress and receive more advanced coaching whilst the other can be coached at a beginner’s level for children new to the sport. The attendance is excellent and the children are full of enthusiasm for tennis. The club offers professional coaching by the Elms and follows a rewards scheme.
